Russia will have to be forced into peace: When could the Kremlin agree to the conditions?
The U.S. President will work towards ending the war in Ukraine.
War.
Russia will have to be forced into peace through the efforts of the U.S., Ukraine, and Europe. This is indicated by the meeting of the U.S. special representative for the Middle East, Steve Vitkoff, with the dictator of Russia, Vladimir Putin, after which no comments were made for the press.
This was stated by the serviceman of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, political scientist Kyrylo Sazonov, during an interview on "Espreso" TV.
"No statements were made – they just talked. I believe they did not reach any concrete results. Moscow set its ultimatums and conditions: to give them Donetsk, Luhansk, Kherson, and Zaporizhzhia regions, to limit the Ukrainian Armed Forces in numbers, to prohibit Ukraine’s NATO membership, and to ban peacekeepers. These are conditions that no one will or can fulfill. Therefore, they did not achieve any results," he said.
According to Sazonov, Donald Trump is already moving towards introducing additional sanctions against Russia, and is providing Ukraine with long-range bombs. In this way, Washington, together with Ukraine, continues on the path to peace. However, the Kremlin is not satisfied with this.
"Russia is trying to break Trump’s dream of winning the Nobel Peace Prize. Now, Ukraine, the U.S., and Europe, as allies, will put pressure on Russia, forcing it to agree to peace on our terms. This is good, though not quick. Likely, it will take the whole year, but this is the best option for us," the political scientist added.
