The Russian occupiers are preparing for large-scale actions on the front and may launch an offensive in the second half of 2024.
This opinion was expressed by military-political observer of the "Information Resistance" group, Oleksandr Kovalenko, "Espresso" reports.
"If we talk about the capabilities of the Russian occupying forces, they really plan to launch an offensive in 2024. Probably in the second half of the year. What we can observe today near Chasiv Yar is not yet the peak of their offensive capabilities," Kovalenko says.
In his opinion, in the second half of 2024, the Russians plan to conduct at least two offensive operations - in Chasiv Yar and Kupiansk. A secondary objective for them will be the line from Maryinka to Vuhledar. Additionally, the enemy will try to advance in Zaporizhzhia region, particularly in the area of Robotyne.
The expert explained that the occupiers are trying now to create a security buffer for their troops near Ivanovske in the Bakhmut direction.
"Today, the occupiers near Chasiv Yar are trying to create the conditions for a major offensive. In particular, the capture of Ivanovske, Bohdanivka, Klishchiivka and Andriivka. This is especially true of Klishchiivka and Andriivka, because in this way they are trying to create a security buffer for their southern flank from Ivanivka," he concluded.
