Russian invaders already killed 1,187 civilians in Kyiv region
412 of them are the bodies of the tortured and murdered residents of Bucha.
Law enforcement officers of Ukraine had found the bodies of 1,187 civilians who died at the hands of the Russian army, Ukrainian Commissioner for Human Rights, Lyudmyla Denysova informed about this on Telegram channel.
“1,187 bodies of Kyiv Region civilians killed by the Russian army have already been discovered by law enforcement officers. Of them, 412 are the bodies of the tortured and murdered residents of Bucha. 26 bodies had found dead during yesterday in Kyiv region," Denysova said.
Denysova said that rescue work was ongoing to clear the debris and work to find the bodies. More than 200 people remain missing.
The Investigation documented about 20 cases of torture of the local civilians of Trostyanets, Sumy Region.
"In the places where civilians were tortured, batons, handcuffs, metal pincers and clothes of victims with traces of blood were found. Russians and the invaders of The Republics of Donetsk and Lugansk (DPR and LPR) took people and shot animals", Denysova stressed.
Previously in Bucha, prosecutors together with police officers from the Kyiv region discovered a cellar in the basement of a children's sanatorium. The bodies of five men were found there with their tied hands.
