Russian Missile Strike in Kramatorsk and Drone Attack against Dnipro: Situation in the Regions on November 9th
The night of November 8th to November 9th was relatively calm in most parts of Ukraine, however eight regions were attacked by the Russian invaders.

The night was relatively quiet without any strikes in Volyn, Zakarpattia, Rivne, Ivano-Frankivsk, Odesa, Kirovohrad, Khmelnytskyi, Chernivtsi, Ternopil, Poltava, Lviv, Vinnytsia, Cherkasy, Chernihiv, Zhytomyr, and Kyiv Regions.
Zaporizhzhia Region
The situation in the region has not changed significantly over the past 24 hours. The enemy has focused its efforts on retaining the control over the seized area. According to the Zaporizhzhia Regional Office of National Police, during the last 24 hours, the invaders civilian infrastructure in the vicinity of Lezhyne, Bilohiria, Charivne, Malynivka, Chervone, Mala Tokmachka, Uspenivka, Novodanylivka, Huliaipole, Orikhiv, Dorozhnianka, Novoandriivka, Stepove and Kamianske.
The local authorities have received 18 reports of about civilian housing (apartments) and infrastructure damaged by Russian shells. More detailed information about casualties and property damage will be provided later.
Sumy Region
Last night, Seredyna-Buda town in Shostka District was shelled by enemy mortars (over 8 mortar shells fired. Based on preliminary data, there are no human casualties. The information about property damage will be reported later. During the last 24 hours, the enemy fired a total of 59 mortar and artillery shells targeting the borderline parts of Ukraine including Krasnopillia, Bilopillia, Znob-Novhorodske, Velykopysarivka and Myropillia communities.
Dnipro Region
Last night, the region was attacked by kamikaze drones. Five enemy UAVs were shot down by the air defense units, but three had reached their target and hit a logistic enterprise in Dnipro. Four employees suffered injuries. All casualties required hospital treatment. Three victims are in a critical condition.
Russians barraged Nikopol District from Grad MRLS and heavy artillery. The shells landed in Myrove and Marhanets communities. Based on preliminary data, there are no fatal casualties. A private commercial facilities and over 20 residential houses in Myrove community sustained damage. The enemy shells also hit a commercial facility, a gas pipeline and a power transmission line. More detailed information about property damage will be reported later.
Kharkiv Region
The towns and villages in the borderline areas were barraged by enemy artillery and mortars. Last night, the enemy shells set on fire a hay storage in Shevchenkove community, Kupiansk District. In Dvorichchia community, Kupiansk Region, a private estate was set on fire, and an administrative building was damaged by the enemy shells. Two people in Dvorichchia community were admitted to hospital with injuries as a result of the artillery strike. The patients are in a moderately severe condition.
The landmine contamination remains one of the worst problems in Kharkiv Region. Yesterday, two road service workers were killed and 2 more people were injured in a blast, when a special engineering vehicle ran on a landmine in Chuhuiv District. Y During the last 24 hours, EOD units of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine have disarmed 635 explosives devices. Landmine contamination clearance works are in progress.
Luhansk Region
Yesterday, the enemy shells landed in Makiivka, Nevske, Novoselivske, Ploschanka, Stelmakhivka, Hrekivka and Miasozharivka in Kupiansk and Lyman areas. Units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces successfully repelled the attacks of the invasion forces in the area of Bilohorivka and Novoselivske.
The Russian forces carried out 7 infantry attacks, 24 artillery and mortar strikes and 2 air raids against positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine along the line of contact. The situation in the region is described as extremely challenging.
Donetsk Region
Yesterday, the invaders carried out a missile strike in Kramatorsk damaging a local school and several residential houses. A 8-yeat-old child suffered injuries. Last night, the invaders also carried out a massive combined strike (missiles, artillery and MRLS) against Chasiv Yar damaging a school, a kindergarten and private houses. At least one person was killed and 2 people were injured in the attack.
Avdiivka was also shelled in the evening (in particular with the use of Solntsepyok system). One person was killed and another civilian was injured. Several residential houses were destroyed. Last night, the enemy also shelled Toretsk community, including Niu York, Pivnichne, Pivdenne, Kurdiumivka, Shumy and Zalizne. The artillery strikes continued in the morning. During night hours, the enemy also shelled Siversk and Soledar, while violent hostilities raged in the vicinity Mayorsk. Last night, the Russian units also shelled the old part of Avdiivka.
The defence lines around the city had been under heavy shellfire all night long. Assault operations were attempted in the areas of Kamianka, Vesele, Krasnohorivka, Promka, Opytne, Pervomaiske and Nevelske. Over the last 24 hours, 3 people were killed and 11 people were injured in Donetsk Region.
Mykolaiv Region
Yesterday the enemy carried out artillery strikes against Shevchenkove community. An industrial infrastructural facility was hit. Luckily, there were no human casualties. Shyroke community was also shelled yesterday. One house was destroyed, and several private vehicles were damaged in the strike. Some shells also landed in the open area. Luckily, there were no human casualties.
Kherson Region
The situation in Kherson region remains difficult. According to the dara of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the invasion forces attacked the settlements bordering the line of control using tank turrets, mortars, conventional and and rocket launching-artillery and fighter jets. The targets were Blahodatne, Nova Kamianka, Sukhyi Stavok, Bilohirka. Russian terrorists also struck Velyka Oleksandrivka village with multiple rocket launchers. As a result of the shelling 2 civilians sustained shrapnel wounds. The enemy continues to resort to looting and destruction of civilian infrastructure on the temporarily seized territories of the region.
According to the information of the OC "South", in order to discover the position of our troops and adjust the artillery fire, the inavders continue to use unmanned aerial vehicles. One of such spies of "Orlan-10" type was shot down in Beryslav district.
Around two dozen units of enemy equipment were destroyed in the successful strikes against Russian alignment in Hola Prystan area.
