Russia still may use chemical weapon against the people staying at Azovstal plant in Mariupol.

Based on the recent data, in order to mitigate further losses of Russian military personnel, the invasion forces may proceed with their heinous plans to “smoke out” Ukrainian defenders and civilians, who stay in the half-destroyed factory buildings, the Defence Intelligence of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine reports.

"For this purpose, the Russian leadership is planning to attack the facility with artillery and aircraft ordinance containing warfare chemical agents. At the same time, the Russian “radiological, chemical and biological defense” units will like spray the chemical weapon aerosols”, the Defence Intelligence adds.

Ukrainian intelligence officers also note that the words of the Russian President said during the recorded conversation with the Minister of Defense and actively highlighted in mass media are quoted out of context.

“His phrase about “lifting the siege of the factory approach area, but blocking off the access to it, so not even fly can escape” shall be interpreted as a direct order not to let anyone out of the plant’s underground alive. In particular, this may indicate the intention to use the chemical weapon”, the intelligence officers emphasize.

The addition evidences indicating the Kremlin’s intentions to use the chemical weapon in Ukraine are:

- "Proactive preparations", i.e. spreading the fake information about potential use of chemical and biological weapon by Ukrainian forces;

- Selection and inspection of potential storage zobes for warfare chemical agent tanks.
