Emergency search and rescue operations are ongoing in the "Epicenter" hypermarket in Kharkiv, which was bombed by Russian forces on May 25.

Mayor Ihor Terekhov told about this on the air of the telethon.

According to him, the work at the impact site is complicated. The strikes and the powerful fire have caused extensive destruction. Over 300 people are involved in the efforts, including employees of the State Emergency Service, National Police and municipal enterprises.

"Search operations are ongoing around the clock. Unfortunately, the work is complicated by the significant destruction. Additionally, air raid alerts are frequent, and rescuers cannot ignore them. There are often interruptions due to air raid alerts, but search operations continue around the clock," he said.

Identification of the bodies of the deceased through DNA analysis is also underway. According to Terekhov, a dedicated headquarters is working on this object.
