Ukrainian Armed Forces have successfully pushed Russian troops back on the Oleksandrivka axis. However, the enemy is concentrating resources for a spring offensive, with Pavlohrad in Dnipropetrovsk region as a potential main target.
Military expert Serhii Bratchuk spoke on Kyiv24 television.
He said Ukrainian defenders had managed to move the front line and push back Russian forces on the Oleksandrivka sector. Despite this tactical success, the situation remains extremely tense due to Russia concentrating significant resources in the area.
He said a sharp increase in combat intensity is expected in the near term. The occupying forces are actively using accumulated reserves to prepare for the next stage of the war.
“The battle of resources will continue and will clearly become decisive in this direction. The enemy is regrouping and preparing for another spring stage of its ongoing offensive campaign, which began in autumn 2023,” Bratchuk said.
Russian forces plan to deploy new capabilities to push forward. The trend covers most sections of the frontline, including the Oleksandrivskyi axis.
Analyzing Russian generals’ intentions, Bratchuk warned of a serious threat. The occupying forces are expected to focus on breaching Ukrainian defenses to advance deeper into the country and capture additional towns.
“The enemy is interested in breaking through towards Pavlohrad,” Bratchuk concluded.
