"Simple and primitive": Prystaiko assessed the effectiveness of Trump's plan for Ukraine
Prystaiko called Trump's advisors' plan primitive. He does not believe that this plan will work.
Presidential candidate and 45th President of the USA, Donald Trump
Western media reported that two of Trump's advisors allegedly presented him with a plan to end the war in Ukraine if he wins the presidential election in the USA. This plan suggests that Ukraine will receive military aid only if it starts peace negotiations with Russia and agrees to territorial concessions.
Former Minister for Foreign Affairs and former Ambassador of Ukraine to the United Kingdom Vadym Prystaiko commented on this plan on "Espreso."
"First, we need to see the plan proposed by Trump and his advisors. I am sure there will be more than one plan and more than one set of advisors. If we remember, before the start of the elections, there were many people who presented themselves as advisors – there were many plans and "creative" ideas. And then President Zelenskyy said he didn't know what they were talking about. I think it will be the same with Trump," the diplomat said.
Prystaiko called Trump's advisors' plan primitive. He does not believe that this plan will work.
"I cannot believe that such a simple, primitive, "one-move" plan has any right to exist. We don't even need to dig deep into the details. But the very idea that "you sit down at the negotiating table because if you don't, we (the USA) won't give you weapons" is extremely primitive. There is no next step. Suppose we sit down. And what if nothing is achieved?" - the former Minister for Foreign Affairs said.
