The Russians continue to attack the southern regions for the second consecutive night.
The Russians are trying to attack the port infrastructure in southern Ukraine
On the night of Wednesday, July 19, the Russian army massively attacked the south of Ukraine. In particular, the occupiers struck Odesa and its surrounding region.
Natalia Humeniuk, Head of the Joint Press Centre for Operational Command “South” Pivden, reported this information during an interview on "FreeDом."
According to her, the Russian army aims to complicate the situation as much as possible in the southern part of the front. Additionally, the Russians are attempting to target the port infrastructure to disrupt its operations.
"The situation in the south is very tense and complex. The enemy made an effort tonight to make it as difficult as possible for us, not being satisfied with the previous night's attack, specifically on the port and infrastructure. This night, they once again attempted to attack the southern regions. The focus is shifting towards the grain corridor, towards the potential of the region to be a breadbasket. They aim to prevent the Odesa region from having such an opportunity," said Humeniuk.
