The Defence Intelligence assessed the Russian grouping in Ukraine and near the borders: a shocking figure

The Russian occupiers have concentrated around 550,000 troops in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine and near our borders.

A source in the Defence Intelligence of the Ministry of Defence made a comment about it for LIGA.net.

As noted, the grouping of  the occupiers numbers about 520,000 servicemen. However, there are other paramilitary units. While in the temporarily occupied territories, there are about 32,000 representatives of the Russian National Guard, the Federal Security Service, and other Russia’s security structures. They perform patrolling functions there.

At the same time, at the beginning of the full-scale invasion on February 24, 2022, a grouping of invaders numbering 180,000 personnel invaded Ukraine. In November 2023, there were more than 400,000 occupiers on the territory of Ukraine.
