The expert predicted whether Israel will provide Merkava tanks to Ukraine

Israel is considering the option of selling Merkava tanks to two countries in Eastern Europe.

This concerns, in particular, Poland and Europe.

The probability of this was forecasted by military expert Andriy Kramarov.

According to him, the more modern tanks Ukraine receives, the better.

"Merkava tanks have not been exported by Israel except to Singapore. This country has approximately 25 of these machines in the latest Merkava Mk.4 modification. Currently, there are discussions about exporting 200 Merkava Mk.2 and Merkava Mk.3 tanks, which have been taken out of storage, by Israel," the statement reads.

The expert doubts that Israel would make such a leap - from relatively limited assistance to Ukraine to providing offensive weapons like tanks.

"Now the partner countries of Ukraine in the Eastern European bloc understand that a major war is taking place in Europe, and they need to strengthen their defense. Previously, they had transferred to us modernized Soviet T-72 tanks from their storage depots. And now, perhaps they plan to replenish their fleet with more effective armored vehicles," he suggested.
