The occupiers try to destroy wheat fields in Donetsk region: what is known
Russian forces are deliberately targeting wheat fields in an effort to destroy the harvest.

The Russian occupiers in Donetsk region are intentionally destroying wheat fields. As a result of their attack and the ensuing fire, 50 hectares of wheat were burned.
This information was reported by the State Emergency Service in Donetsk region.
"On July 2, the enemy struck a ripe wheat field near the village of Nova Poltavka in Kramatorsk district. The shelling caused a fire. Rescuers from the Kostyantynivka garrison quickly extinguished the blaze to prevent the entire field, totaling 266 hectares, from being destroyed. The fire destroyed 50 hectares of wheat," the State Emergency Service reported.
In addition, the occupiers shelled a wheat field near Myrnohrad in Pokrovsk district. Emergency workers extinguished the fire over an area of nine hectares and prevented it from spreading to the entire 50-hectare field.
"At the same time, as a result of the shelling, a fire broke out in a wheat field outside the village of Hrodivka in Pokrovsk district. Rescuers from Myrnohrad quickly extinguished the fire on 1.5 hectares. The occupiers are intentionally destroying Ukrainian wheat fields to leave us without bread. The rescuers are doing everything possible to minimize the consequences of enemy shelling," the State Emergency Service said.
