“The Russians have adapted": the British infantryman explains what weapons Ukraine needs
Our soldiers need to reach enemy targets deep in their territory.
HIMARS work
Ukraine needs weapons with greater range to strengthen its counteroffensive. Russia is changing its strategy to evade HIMARS strikes.
This was said by a Marine and former British prisoner of war Aiden Aslin.
The Russians have "adapted" to HIMARS.
It is known that Ukraine currently uses American HIMARS to strike key targets. However, Russian forces have already adapted to this tactic. Furthermore, the range of this weapon is quite limited.
Aslin emphasizes that in May, the United Kingdom announced that it was sending its Storm Shadow cruise missiles to Ukraine, and in mid-July, France promised to provide its version of SCALP missiles.
The Anglo-French missiles have an estimated flight range of over 250 kilometers, which is roughly three times more than the missiles supplied for the Ukrainian HIMARS system.
