On the morning of June 4, Russia attacked Dnipro. As a result of falling missile fragments, a private sector in the city was shattered, and over a dozen cars were damaged. Unfortunately, there are injured people, including a one-month-old baby.

Details on the attack, the targets, and how Dnipro is recovering from the assault, read in an exclusive report by TSN.ua.

The aftermath of the attack on Dnipro

According to the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration, fortunately, there were no fatalities, but many people sustained injuries of varying severity. As of 11 a.m., there are 7 known victims, including children.

"Air defense forces shot down 2 missiles. However, due to falling debris, there is damage to civilian infrastructure, fires broke out, and local residents were injured," Serhiy Lysak, Head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration reported.

A 68-year-old man and three women aged 32, 36 and 56 are among the injured. One of the women has been hospitalized. Doctors assess her condition as moderate.

Over a dozen cars were damaged. Windows in private houses, apartment buildings, and a hospital were shattered.

Lyudmila is the mother of the same 17-year-old boy. The woman says that her entire family was at home when the debris fell: her husband, two children and her elderly mother. Everyone except the boy escaped with only a fright. The younger child was miraculously protected from the wreckage by the woman’s husband.

"The house jumped on the spot" from the explosion

Oleksandr, another resident, also felt the impact of the "Russian world". He was at home and woke up from the first missile explosion, as reported by Suspilne Dnipro.

"We heard the missile fly over. And then a loud explosion. The window was open, and the mosquito net flew into the yard. The glass remained intact, but the chandelier broke. Immediately, another missile flew over and hit. Plaster started falling, cracks appeared on the walls. Our neighbors had pieces of roofing slate stuck in the ground like daggers. I was in the apartment and jumped up from the couch. The house jumped on the spot," he said," he recounted.

Debris damaged a hospital and a school

In Dnipro, the Russians damaged not only the private sector, but also 16 high-rise buildings, a local emergency hospital, a polyclinic and a school. Eyewitnesses find hundreds of such metal cubes around. Missiles with similar equipment are used specifically to kill more of the enemy's manpower.

Fortunately, the missile was intercepted by air defense; otherwise, each fragment could have taken the life of a civilian. On August 19, 2023, a similar missile hit the Chernihiv Drama Theater, killing 7 people and injuring 129, including 15 children and 15 police officers.

Due to the attack on Dnipro on June 4, law enforcement opened a case for violating the laws and customs of war, as reported by the regional prosecutor's office.
