Today, the situation in Bakhmut is very difficult. It is changing dynamically both on our southern and northern flanks.

Oleh Kalashnikov, the Head of the Press Service of the 26th Artillery Brigade named after Roman Dashkevich, told about this on the air of the FREEDOM TV channel.

"Today, the situation is very difficult. It is changing dynamically. It is changing both on our southern and northern flanks. Our Defense Forces of Ukraine have already advanced on both flanks. However, the enemy has understood what threatens him with the capture of both Berkhivka and Klishchiivka.

The enemy is not a fool, so on the 29th, he conducted some rotations and reinforcements. He strengthened the southern flank on the second defensive line with airborne assault units. The northern flank was reinforced with an infantry unit for territorial defense. After regrouping, he is simultaneously attempting to counterattack... In the area of Berkhivka, he will push us away from this location to prevent us from encircling them. They have deployed their contracted units there. Their private military companies (PMCs) include "Gazprom" ("Potok," "Smoloskyp") and "Veterans" from the Ministry of Defense... In total, there are four PMCs battalions there," he said.

According to Kalashnikov, it seems that the Russians are creating units for counterattacks to prevent us from finally taking Klishchiivka and to try to preserve their logistical approaches to Bakhmut.
