The Town is Virtually Destroyed: the Armed Forces Reported Fierce Battles near Soledar

Over the last day alone, Soledar and the outskirts of the two were shelled 86 times with various artillery systems, as the Spokesman of the Eastern Group of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Serhii Cherevatyi reported on the air of "Channel 24".
According to him, heavy fierce battles are taking place near Soledar, where the most capable units of the PMC "Wagner" with the support of regular units of the Russian army. The invaders are suffering huge losses there, but are trying to move forward.
The spokesman expalined that even a small tactical advance of the Russian Federation is presented as a great achievement.
Cherevatyi noted that the main method of storming Soledar by the invaders is the use of artillery systems and MLRS. Then small groups of infantry advance with their support.
"Yesterday, the President stressed that the city was actually destroyed, and their (the invaders’ - Ed.) logic of war is not clear, because it is very strange to capture ruins, as it was before in Lysychansk and Sievierodonetsk, putting countless troops, in the military art of the XXI century," he said.
According to Cherevatyi, Ukrainian defenders are doing everything possible to exhaust the enemy.
"The situation there is very difficult, the most difficult is on the Eastern front. It is the defenders of Soledar who are now doing everything possible to exhaust the enemy, to minimize its offensive potential. So that even some tactical successes lead to a great Pyrrhic victory," Serhii Cherevatyi summarized.
