The United States possesses effective systems capable of countering Russian weapons, but they are not yet ready to provide them to Ukraine.

This was stated by Mykhailo Podolyak, Advisor to the Office of the President of Ukraine, in an interview with "24 Kanal."

"We agreed in Washington on a certain number of means that allow us to protect Ukraine’s sky. These systems can intercept various missiles at different stages. There are effective modern missile defense systems that, by the way, were supplied to Israel, which will intercept anything Russia can come up with," the presidential advisor said.

However, Ukraine must continue to explain to its partners that if there is an agreement to supply weapons, it should be fulfilled.

"Our country cannot independently produce the required number of air defense and missile defense systems, but they are available in the U.S. stockpiles," Podolyak added.

So, if Ukraine can use them in combination – along with aviation components and systems of short, medium, and long-range – they would significantly increase the chances of intercepting absolutely all Russian missiles.
