The Ukrainian Armed Forces have identified cities where the Russian army aims to launch its offensive

At present, Pokrovsk is one of the hottest areas of the front. It is likely that the Russian army is trying to advance in Donbas region towards the cities of Pokrovsk, Myrnohrad and Selydove.

This was reported by Nazar Voloshyn, Spokesman for the "Khortytsia" Operational-Strategic Grouping of Troops, on the air of the telethon.

"The main efforts of the Russian troops are focused on trying to break through our defense and advance towards the settlements of Pokrovsk, Myrnohrad and Selydove. The situation around Netailove is characterized by high enemy activity," the representative of the Ukrainian Armed Forces emphasized.

Additionally, the Russian army is trying to reach Kurakhove and Pokrovsk to advance westward from Avdiivka and Maryinka.

"After Ocheretyne, they rush to the highway Pokrovsk - Kostiantynivka. Perhaps they have such a task to capture Pokrovsk and the vital route just to Kostiantynivka," Voloshyn explained.

Over the past day, June 5, nearly 220 attacks took place in the Pokrovsk direction.
