According to data from the American publication Politico, Russia's plans to stage provocations in the Estonian border city of Narva, predominantly populated by Russian speakers, are entirely plausible.

This opinion was expressed by Major Maksym Zhorin, Deputy Commander of the 3rd Separate Assault Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

"Regarding the possibility of a Russian attack on Estonia and Russia's preparatory and reconnaissance measures: I have no doubt that they are planning this," Zhorin emphasized.

In his view, since Russia does not see an adequate response from the West to its actions, it will grow increasingly brazen and eventually escalate from threats and provocations to real actions.

"Understanding that, for example, if they attack Estonia, NATO will also not "step in" as it should. The West, through its behavior, shows how weak it is. Russia will undoubtedly exploit this," the military officer asserted.
