About two thousand trucks stand in queues on the border between Ukraine and Poland. Blocking of the three checkpoints is still ongoing.
This was reported to “Ukrinform” by Spokesman of the State Border Service Andriy Demchenko.
"Blockades persist at the checkpoints of "Rava-Ruska – Hrebenne," "Krakovets – Korchowa," and "Yahodyn – Dorohusk." According to information from Polish border guards, as of this morning, 1350 trucks are queued on these three routes heading towards Ukraine," Andriy Demchenko emphasized.
He also added that on January 6, around 9:00 PM, movement was unblocked at the "Shehyni – Medyka" checkpoint, but queues remain. As of this morning on January 8, there are 550 trucks. Following the unblocking of traffic at this checkpoint, truck movement on this route became more intensive.
Meanwhile, on other sections of the border, truck traffic remains unblocked. There is a decrease in the queues of freight vehicles heading towards Ukraine. The intensity of movement for both inbound and outbound traffic is being maintained. Queues only persist on the territory of Slovakia in the direction of Ukraine at the checkpoint "Uzhhorod". As of the morning of January 8, 400 trucks were awaiting passage.
