«There will be another attempt at a dynamic Russian breakthrough»: Third Assault Brigade on Russia’s summer offensive

Speaking about Russia’s preparations for the so-called «major summer offensive, ” it’s worth noting that half of the summer has already passed, combat operations are extremely intense and ongoing without pause, and the occupiers continue their advance.

This was stated by Lieutenant Colonel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and Deputy Commander of the 3rd Separate Assault Brigade, Maksym Zhorin.

He acknowledged that the pace and dynamics of the enemy have slightly decreased in some areas, solely due to the losses sustained by the Russians, who had planned to advance much further by now.

«Containing them is very challenging, but our military manages to inflict such damage on the enemy that prevents them from maintaining consistent activity for long periods, ” Zhorin said.

The officer is confident that Russia is preparing for a new round of offensive operations. He suggests that this summer, there will be another attempt at an even more dynamic Russian breakthrough.

«But the Ukrainian infantryman lives in a reality somewhat different from the world of news—for him, it’s almost a continuous nightmare, ” the officer concluded.
