There can be no end to the war with Russia "at the expense of our sovereignty, our territory, or lost lives."

This was stated by Advisor to the Head of the Office of the President, Mykhailo Podolyak, in an interview with "24Kanal."

"We want to know if you are ready to trade us for some quick cessation of hostilities. If not, then we want to discuss how to stop the war and where legally the aggressor and the victim are. This is an absolutely clear position. If someone says today that they are ready to end the war quickly, but this end will encourage Russia to further genocide, that’s one thing. If there are technologies that will curb these genocidal intentions of Russia, that’s another matter," the representative of the Presidential Office said.

According to him, this primarily concerns the strategy of maintaining democracy and international and global law.

"The President of Ukraine says that if there are rules, then explain them, because we are conducting a defensive war within these rules. However, Russia is doing everything differently. It has nullified international law," Podolyak added.

He stresses: it is essential to understand "what the world needs: either to have rules or only the right of the strong."

"If it’s the right of the strong, then everything changes for all countries, not just for Ukraine. Then everyone will be at risk, and anyone, anywhere can come and conditionally say: "Give us the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant voluntarily, otherwise, we will attack you." This is exactly how it looks," Podolyak said.
