The suburbs and industrial zone of Sievierodonetsk is under powerful Russian shellfire. The active hostilities continue in Toshkivka and Ustynivka areas, where the invaders attempt to break through the frontline and have concentrated significant forces, including both personnel and military vehicles, as Serhii Haidai, the Head of Luhansk Regional Military Administration, reported on June 20th.

Active hostilities continue also in many towns and villages around Sievierodonetsk and Lysychansk.

" We have lost control over Metolkino near Sievierodonetsk, while industrial zone is under hellish shellfire”, Haidai noted.

Although, according to him, one lost village does not necessary result in the “lost war”.

"Luhansk Region will be defended till the last breath. We will repel the attacks of the Russian hoards as long as it’s necessary”, he reassured.

According to Haidai, the invaders continue to use so-called “creeping” tactics, i.e. barrage Luhansk Region from all weapons available.

He although added that the Armed Forces of Ukraine have some success in the street fights, although the Russian artillery still dominates on the battlefield.

"The Russian fascists destroy Lysychansk in advance, because they know they’ll never break through the city’s defense. The local traitors help the “orcs” to devastate the city. They adjust the fire to target the civilian shelters and vital infrastructure facilities”, the Head of Regional Military Administration said.

Meanwhile, the local authorities together with police officers, first responders and volunteers evacuate the civilians from Lysychansk. People from towns and villages turned into battlefield for active combat engagements are evacuated by military in the armored vehicles.
