Ukrainian intelligence for the first time commented on the situation in the Belgorod region: "Establishment of a security zone" 

Andriy Yusov, the representative of the Defence Intelligence of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine, commented on the situation in the Belgorod region of the Russian Federation. The goal of the operation, carried out by the Russian legions "Freedom of Russia" and the “Russian Volunteer Corps”, is to protect Ukrainian civilians. 

He stated this in a comment to the Public Broadcasting Company  "Suspilne". 

Andriy Yusov explained that the participation in the operation on the territory of the Belgorod region is taken exclusively by Russians - the Legion "Freedom of Russia" and the "Russian Volunteer Corps". The purpose of this is to "create a safety zone" for Ukrainian civilians.
