Ukrenerho Has Implemented Emergency Blackouts All Over the Territory of Ukraine

Emergency blackouts are applied all over the territory of Ukraine due to growing power deficiency in the system, Ukrenerho reports.

"The growing power deficiency is caused by emergency power unit shutdowns at several nuclear power plants. Nevertheless, the consumption continues to grow due to deteriorating weather conditions. Currently, the power deficiency has reached 27%”, the company explained.

After emergency shutdowns, the power units will be put back into operation, which will reduce the power deficiency in the grid and result in corresponding decrease of the consumption restrictions.

"Total power deficiency in the energy system is caused by 7 waves of Russian missile strikes against energy infrastructure. The scales and complexity of the damage is extremely high. The repair operations continue 24/7”, the company reminded.
