Closing the sky over Ukraine could become a real limitation for Russia and force it to abandon missile strikes.

Russia may stop its attacks on Ukraine if our allies close our skies. In this case, missiles and drones will not reach their targets, as they would be shot down, rendering them ineffective.
Additionally, airstrikes are extremely costly, so it would be pointless to use them if they are immediately destroyed. This was explained by Ivan Tymochko, Head of the Council of Reservists of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, in an interview with "24 Kanal."
What would make Russia stop attacking Ukraine
When the Russians strike residential buildings, they often do not consider them civilian targets. They immediately claim that high-ranking officials, generals, or other important individuals could have been there, even if it is just a simple rural house. They might say that the building housed a mercenary headquarters or an ammunition depot disguised as a civilian object.
Often, these are manipulations, and no accountability follows such actions. The international community only expresses concern or asks Ukraine to provide evidence that would disprove Russia's claims. But every day, strikes are made on civilian objects, and unfortunately, this goes without an adequate response.
Ivan Tymochko notes that if our allies actively engaged their aviation and air defense systems, provided mass support, and shot down Russian missiles, Putin would likely begin to refuse such orders.
For example, a "Kalibr" missile costs about 10 million dollars, and others, like the Kh-555, cost 1.5-2 million dollars. If a missile does not reach its target, its effectiveness becomes nearly zero, and Russia would not use them anymore, as it also exposes their weakness.
"At the same time, we could strike back at Russian launchers," the head of the Council of Reservists says.
Only the overall support of closing the sky over Ukraine by our allies can become a real limitation for Russia and force it to stop the attacks.
