What Demands Russia Will Have to Fulfill After the War: Expert Explains
There are a number of prohibitions and requirements that Russia must fulfill.
After the war is won, Ukraine will seek to establish demilitarized zones in Russia's border areas. Similar bans on Russian military activity should be imposed on maritime areas, as military analyst Oleksandr Kovalenko believes according to UNIAN.
"After the war, one way or another, the issue of demilitarized zones will be raised by Russia. It should concern not only the land part of Russia, but also the sea part - the Azov-Black Sea," the expert believes.
In addition, Kovalenko notes that Russian warships should be banned from entering neutral territorial waters, and missile carriers should be relocated outside the Azov-Black Sea region.
A separate ban should be imposed on the conversion of rear military and civilian vessels into warships. The expert explained the need for such a ban by the precedents already established in the battle for Zmiinyi Island.
"The rear and rescue vessels were equipped with Pantsyr-S1 and Tor-M2 air defense systems, which were not only transported to Zmiinyi Island to strengthen the island air defense component of the occupiers, but also were on duty as naval air defense covering groups of invasion warships," he recalled.
