Russian Saboteur Groups May Set Provocations on the Border with Moldova – Humeniuk
There is no critical force capable of opening a second front on the border with Transnistria.
Provocations by sabotage and reconnaissance groups are not ruled out on the border with Moldova, but no enemy activity is currently observed on this section of the border, as Natalia Humeniuk, the Head of Coordination Headquarters of Press Center of Ukrainian Southern Defence Forces, said during the national TV marathon.
"We were aware of the threat from this direction from the very beginning of the full-scale invasion, we were aware of the peculiarity of this region. The defense was deployed immediately, from the first days. Our forces are absolutely equivalent to the forces that could hypothetically be provoked from the direction of Transnistria. But most likely, these could be isolated sabotage and reconnaissance groups to undermine the situation in the region. In addition to military defense, we continue to work with the local population to explain the true state of affairs so that they are not influenced by Russian propaganda," she said.
