U.S. presidential candidate Donald Trump has repeatedly expressed his intention to end the war between Russia and Ukraine. However, he will not be able to force Ukraine into concessions.

This was stated by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in an interview with the South Korean television channel KBS.

According to Zelenskyy, the new U.S. President can either strengthen support for Ukraine or weaken it.

Zelenskyy noted that a reduction in support would allow Russia to occupy more Ukrainian territory and would prevent Ukraine from winning the war.

"We are not talking about compromises and territory. We are discussing certain diplomatic avenues, but they depend on U.S. policy. If it does not weaken, and if the U.S. genuinely wishes to end the war quickly," the President added.

The Head of State reminded that "Trump declared that he is a man of action and wants to end the war quickly and find some model."

"But if Trump, in he wins, wants to force Ukraine to give everything up to negotiate with Russia, I don't think that is possible at this time," Zelenskyy said.
