The German government is considering the possibility of supplying the Ukrainian Armed Forces with long-range ‘Taurus’ missiles in the near future, but only on the condition that they will not be used for attacks on the territory of Russia.

Military-political expert from the "Information Resistance" group, Oleksandr Kovalenko, shared in an interview with OBOZREVATEL how these missiles could potentially change the situation on the frontlines and where the Ukrainian Armed Forces might be able to strike.

"I will say very succinctly and simply: Crimea is Ukraine. Considering the range of these missiles, we will be able to strike those areas where there is a military necessity," he commented.

However, Kovalenko emphasized that unlike the occupying Russian army, the Ukrainian Armed Forces only target military objects, avoiding endangering civilian populations.

"The Ukrainian military are civilized people, unlike the Russians, who destroy civilian buildings, as, for example, not so long ago in Zaporizhzhia. Therefore, we will only destroy military targets such as bridges, ammunition and fuel and lubricant depots, as well as large concentrations of equipment. This will significantly disrupt the supply of Russian forces," noted the expert.

Kovalenko also pointed out that one of the important military facilities in the north is the Dzhankoy air base (permanent deployment point of the 39th helicopter regiment - ed.).

"There's another similar object – the airbase in Hvardiiske, near Simferopol. The 37th Mixed Aviation Regiment of the Military Space Forces is based there. After receiving the ‘Taurus’ missiles, these and other crucial military locations will be under fire from the Ukrainian army. German long-range missiles provide a significant more opportunities for the task of defeating the Russian army," Oleksandr Kovalenko summarized.
