Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelenskyi is skeptical of Russian statements about the "withdrawal" of troops from the right bank part of Kherson Region and assumes that this may in fact be a strategic move to regroup forces, as Ukrainian leader said this in an interview for CNN.

"So they (Russians - ed.) are ready to defend this region, and they are not ready to leave the city, and the fact that they are in these houses (which they captured - ed.) means that they are seriously preparing, but we are also seriously ready for any scenarios", Zelenskyi noted.

The Ukrainian leader stressed that the Ukrainian Defense Forces were ready to recapture Russian-controlled territories. He also added that Ukraine had a strategy and different directions during the counterattack.
