Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy emphasized the importance of strong diplomacy for achieving sustainable peace.

Zelenskyy made this statement during his speech at the 2025 World Economic Forum in Davos.

"We must approach any diplomacy that will lead, I am confident, to the end of the war. The question is, what kind of diplomacy will it be? If the diplomacy is strong, and after this diplomacy, after various negotiation formats, Ukraine will have solid security guarantees that will prevent Putin from returning to war, then this will be a lasting, just, strong peace for Ukraine and for Europe, as I have said. And, honestly, for America, as well as for the whole world," the President noted.

At the same time, he warned that weak or uncertain guarantees could lead to Russia returning to war.

"But if there are weak security guarantees, uncertainty, and just words, then from Russia, you will only get words, and they will come back with war," the President added.
