Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy explains why Putin is threatening with the "Oreshnik."

Zelenskyy made this statement in his evening address to Ukrainians on November 28.

"Today in Kazakhstan, Putin once again promoted his missiles – his readiness to kill and destroy. In addition to the thousands of missiles that have already struck Ukraine, Putin clearly wants to add thousands more. He doesn't want this war to end. Moreover, Putin doesn't want anyone else to end this war either," the President said.

Zelenskyy notes that Putin is currently waving his "Oreshnik" only to disrupt the efforts of the newly elected President Donald Trump, who will certainly take action after his inauguration.

According to Volodymyr Zelenskyy, Putin wants to escalate the situation now so that President Trump won't succeed – so that he won't be able to end the war.

"Putin is the sole culprit of this war and the only one who believes in the war. That’s why the current escalation by Putin is a pressure tactic, aimed at forcing the U.S. President to accept Russia’s terms," the Head of State concluded.
