Ukraine should acquire nuclear weapons and a sufficient number of missiles to deter Russia if the process of joining NATO continues to be delayed.
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated this in an interview with British journalist Piers Morgan, as reported on Morgan’s social media page on X.
The President reacted to the situation with the delaying of Ukraine's accession to NATO, stating that Ukraine needs protection if joining the Alliance will take decades.
"Give us nuclear weapons and enough missiles so that we can stop Russia," Zelenskyy said.
