Russia launched over 100 strike drones during the night of April 30. Since the beginning of the week, our country has been attacked by 375 UAVs, more than 190 of them - "Shaheds". The hardest-hit areas were Kharkiv, Dnipro, Dobropillia, and other cities and communities.

This was reported by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

According to available information:

  • In Kharkiv, over 45 people were injured in two waves of strikes, including two children. The youngest injured is only five years old. All are receiving medical care. Rescue operations are ongoing. Residential areas were affected, including apartment buildings, a hospital, and a school. In total, 13 civilian locations in the city were hit.

  • In Dnipro, unfortunately, one person was killed. My condolences to the family. Another person was wounded. Civilian infrastructure was also struck.

  • In Dobropillia, a strike hit a mine building, damaging regular buses and cars. One person was injured.

"Russian drones continue flying over Ukraine this morning. And this happens every day. That is why there must be pressure on Russia — strong additional sanctions that will work. Pressure, not just words or attempts at persuasion, must force Russia to cease fire and end the war. Pressure from the United States, Europe, and everyone in the world who believes there is no place for war on Earth.

We need additional air defense systems to protect our people and make Russia’s aerial terror impossible," the Supreme Commander-in-Chief said.

He thanked everyone supporting Ukraine and its people at this time — especially the partners preparing new sanctions against Russia for prolonging the war and providing defense aid packages to help protect lives.
