Military expert Roman Svitan believes that Russia requires an operational pause before a new offensive against Ukraine to regroup its forces.

He stated this in a comment to TSN.ua.

The expert notes that Putin’s “ceasefire” may conceal a plan to amass new forces for the war against Ukraine.

“Right now, the Russian army needs an operational pause. The enemy is planning an offensive in the summer, and there will be an increase in intensity along the frontline. The enemy wants to bring forces and resources to the frontline. Therefore, granting the Russian army a pause is foolish; a pause benefits the army that is advancing,” Roman Svitan says.
