There is currently insufficient funding to build protective structures for energy infrastructure, complicating preparations for future missile and drone strikes.

This was stated by Oleksandr Kharchenko, Director of the Energy Research Center.

According to him, existing fortifications have already proven effective during previous attacks. However, there is now a shortage of funding to build new protective structures and expand the network of fortification facilities.

«We are already experiencing a shortage of funds to build new protective structures and expand the network of fortifications, even though these fortifications have proven fairly effective. At the same time, unfortunately, it is unclear what resources will be used to procure equipment for the next phases of attacks, including the upcoming heating season, ” Kharchenko said.
