Ukraine’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Andrii Sybiha, stated that a key step toward achieving peace is a ceasefire. In addition, he outlined two other important points.

Sybiha made these remarks at the GLOBSEC 2025 Forum in Prague, according to the Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

“Next week will mark 100 days since Ukraine agreed to a ceasefire at the proposal of the United States and President Trump. We are ready to move forward. A ceasefire is a crucial step toward peace, and we must put pressure on Russia to unconditionally accept it,” the foreign ministry quotes the minister.

Sybiha named three main points necessary to achieve peace: engagement of the United States, strengthening sanctions against Russia, enhancing Ukraine’s defense capabilities.
