Greetings from Rubio on Russia Day: Sybiha issues strong statement

Ukraine’s Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha criticized the fact that “some countries” congratulated the Russian people on Russia Day amid ongoing aggression against Ukrainians.

Sybiha made his statement to journalists on the sidelines of a ministerial meeting in the “Weimar+” format in Rome.

“As the minister of a country at war, it was particularly unpleasant for me this morning to read public congratulations from some countries addressed to the Russian aggressor. They publicly congratulated Russia on its national holiday. Congratulated the aggressor country,” the head of Ukraine’s Foreign Ministry said.

He emphasized the impossibility of any rewarding of Russia, the aggressor country.

“And I have the moral right to state this,” Sybiha stressed.
