Belarus orders mass military enlistment call-ups: What we know

Belarus has begun issuing mass summonses to conscripts following the launch of «mobilization drills.»

The Belarusian Ministry of Defense reported the development.

The ministry says that mass summonses for conscripts have been underway in the Grodno region since June 17. Additionally, since June 20, the enlistment office of the Oshmyany district has been summoning men of military age to verify their personal details.

The verification process is taking place at a preliminary assembly point for conscripts. Enlistment office specialists will update personal records and, if necessary, amend information on conscripts in their registration documents.

«In total, around two thousand residents of the Oshmyany district are expected to be processed. The initiative is being carried out in phases and will conclude on July 2,» the Ministry of Defense stated.
