The press secretary of the Russian president, Dmitry Peskov, essentially confirmed that the Kremlin will not agree to the demand for a ceasefire and is preparing for the introduction of new sanctions promised by U.S. President Donald Trump within 10 days.

He made this statement in response to a question from TASS propagandists regarding the Kremlin’s reaction to Trump’s new ultimatum.

“We have been living under a huge number of sanctions for quite a long time, and our economy is functioning,” Peskov noted.

At the same time, he added that the aggressor state had already developed “a certain immunity in this regard.”

In this way, Putin’s spokesman hints that Russia has no intention of agreeing to a ceasefire and will continue waging war against Ukraine.
