Why Putin won’t use nuclear weapons: Expert explains
Another round of Kremlin nuclear threats with the «Poseidon» system has failed to impress the West.

Putin is once again threatening the world with the nuclear «Poseidon, ” but the West is no longer intimidated, as all Russian launch platforms are under constant surveillance. An expert assured that any attempt at a strike would be met with a warning response.
This was stated by former head of Ukraine’s Foreign Intelligence Service, Mykola Malomuzh, on the air of 24 Kanal.
According to Malomuzh, by referring to «Poseidon, ” Putin is effectively threatening the West with the deployment of various types of ballistic missiles that could be aimed at Europe and the United States.
However, unlike previous years, the West not only remains unafraid but openly declares that it can respond to Moscow if necessary.
The army general emphasizes that Putin’s bluff does not work, as Russia is under round-the-clock and comprehensive observation by leading global powers.
«Russian launchers, T-95 and T-160 bombers, which carry nuclear missiles, are under constant surveillance by US, UK, and French intelligence and interception systems, ” Malomuzh stated.
He added that China and India are also closely monitoring the situation.
The reason for such total control is simple — no one is interested in a global apocalypse.
«They clearly understand that the start of a nuclear war between the US and Russia would cause enormous damage, trigger thermonuclear reactions, and wipe out everything on Earth, ” Malomuzh explains.
The expert also referenced a «demonstration film» made by Americans, which was seen by both Xi Jinping and Putin. It clearly demonstrates that in a nuclear war, «nothing would remain on the planet.»
Therefore, Putin can threaten as much as he likes, but according to the former intelligence chief, he will not use these resources. Any attempt would trigger warning strikes.
«Because no one wants to die: neither Trump, nor Xi Jinping, nor Modi, nor Putin himself. This is the harsh reality. The threat exists, and it must be met firmly, ” Malomuzh stressed.
He concluded that although Russia tries to portray Europe as having aggressive intentions, in reality it is the Russians who are preparing nuclear submarines and reactors with nuclear missiles.
