Peace talks on hold: Zelenskyy’s Office on when they might resume
Peace negotiations regarding the war in Ukraine have been placed on hold.
Negotiations
While the political and military aspects are currently suspended, due to the escalation of the situation in the Middle East, humanitarian efforts—specifically prisoner exchanges—remain active.
This was stated by Mykhailo Podolyak, Advisor to the Office of the President, as reported by Ukrinform.
According to him, the active phase of negotiations will remain on pause as long as the war in the Middle East continues.
The Presidential Office also emphasizes that against the backdrop of Russia's support for Iran, the attitude toward Moscow in the region is changing. This refers to an "evolution from neutral-positive to overtly negative." For Ukraine, the situation is the opposite.
“Ukraine’s international standing has increased significantly,” Mykhailo Podolyak said.
