Russia conducts reconnaissance, prepares new attack: Expert names likely target cities

The aggressor Russia is preparing a new mass attack on Ukraine. Russian forces are carrying out active reconnaissance over Kyiv and the surrounding region, as well as Ukraine’s western regions.

The statement was made by military analyst Denys Popovych during a Radio NV broadcast.

«A drone flew over the city center of Kyiv at extremely low altitude. It was flying before an air raid alert was announced. This indicates that it managed to bypass air defense positions and remain undetected. The same happened in Lviv. Yesterday, drones were actively flying over western regions of Ukraine, not only over Lviv, ” the expert said.

According to him, against the backdrop of this UAV reconnaissance, Kyiv and the Kyiv region, as well as western regions, are likely to become new targets of a Russian attack. Popovych believes Russian forces are seeking to deliver another strike in order to further complicate the already strained energy situation.

«These will be critical infrastructure facilities. There has been a slight rise in temperatures, but forecasters are predicting a drop in the coming days. Ahead of those days, the enemy wants to carry out another large-scale strike to worsen the situation in the energy sector, which is already extremely difficult. Preparations for this mass attack are now under way, and we should expect it in the coming days, ” the military observer concluded.
