"This is not some game": Zelenskyy on the new strike on Kharkiv
The number of victims in the new strike with guided aerial bombs on Kharkiv this evening has increased again.
Strike on Kharkiv, June 7
The number of people injured in Kharkiv due to the guided aerial bomb strike on the evening of June 7 has risen to 40. One more person has died.
This was reported by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on social media.
"Another brutal murder. Aerial bombs on civilians in the city — right next to a children’s railway. This has no military purpose whatsoever. Pure terrorism. And this has been ongoing for over three years of the full-scale war. This cannot be ignored. We cannot turn a blind eye to this," the Head of State said.
Zelenskyy emphasized that this is "not some game," alluding to a controversial comparison made by Trump.
"Every day we lose our people simply because Russia feels impunity. Russia must be forced into peace," he stated.
In his video address, Zelenskyy added that the Russians have been attacking Kharkiv all day.
"Last night, Kharkiv faced a massive drone attack, and now — aerial bombs. Dozens of people have been injured in a single day. Unfortunately, there are killed," he said.
Zelenskyy is convinced that these are not retaliatory strikes in response to Operation "Spider's Web" in Russia.
"No matter what anyone says, these Russian strikes are not "in response" — they are aimed at destruction. Complete destruction of life — that’s what they want. And in absolutely all the cities and villages in the occupied territories, it is clear what Russia’s arrival means. The only thing the occupiers care about is military infrastructure and their ability to plunder everything valuable from Ukraine," he concluded.
