The Ukrainian Navy does not attack Russia’s so-called «shadow fleet, ” which transports oil, because the tankers operate in shared waters that are already heavily polluted by the aggressor. Therefore, this is not only a military but also an international issue.

Navy spokesman Dmytro Pletenchuk stated this on Den.LIVE.

He added that one of the reasons is that these tankers sail in «shared waters, ” which are already suffering from pollution caused by the aggressor. Thus, the Ukrainian Navy refrains from striking these vessels, taking into account a combination of international legal and environmental factors.
