President Volodymyr Zelenskyy admitted that Ukrainian authorities are bracing for electricity shortages.

He made the statement during a press conference with EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Kaja Kallas.

«We anticipate problems with electricity. After one or two more attacks, we may need to import power. We’ve always relied on this option during winter, and it remains available,» he said.

Zelenskyy also confirmed that Russia is targeting gas infrastructure, including storage facilities.

«We’ve started discussions on gas imports. But it’s about funding. As of now, gas isn’t the issue. The issue is finding the funds to procure it,» he added.

He expressed gratitude to international partners, particularly Norway, for supplying Ukraine with gas «without asking about money.»
