The Ukrainian delegation, led by Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko alongside National Security and Defense Council Secretary Rustem Umerov, is already en route to Washington.

This was announced by Andriy Yermak, Head of the President’s Office, via Telegram.

According to Yermak, the week ahead promises to be eventful, with a substantial agenda awaiting. Key priorities of the visit include bolstering Ukraine’s air defense and strike capabilities, fortifying energy resilience ahead of winter, and intensifying sanctions pressure on Russia.

“The ultimate objective remains steadfast — securing a lasting and equitable peace for Ukraine by compelling Russia to end the war,” Yermak underscored.

Details of the Ukrainian delegation’s visit to the U.S.

Earlier, Ukraine’s Ambassador to the U.S., Olha Stefanyshyna, announced that Washington will host the annual IMF and World Bank Financial Week starting Monday, October 13, with the Ukrainian delegation taking part.

Previously, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy had signaled the delegation’s upcoming visit to the U.S. He noted that key discussion points would include air defense, energy security, sanctions measures, and the negotiation track. The issue of frozen assets will also be on the table with the U.S.

“We are grateful to the United States and President Donald Trump. Cooperation with the U.S. continues. The team, headed by Prime Minister Svyrydenko, alongside the Head of the Office Andriy Yermak and my sanctions policy representative Vladyslav Vlasiuk, will be in the U.S. early next week,” Zelenskyy stated.
