Currently, millions of Ukrainians are abroad, and they must be given the right to vote.
Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Oleksiy Danilov on the air of the "Snidanok z 1+1" explained why it is almost impossible to hold elections in Ukraine during a full-scale war.
"Now they are pushing us to hold elections during the war. I can say: as soon as agitators enter the trenches, we will lose. Agitation cannot take place in the trenches, and our people are currently in the trenches. The task of the state is quite simple - to ensure the voting of every person who is... And what about those who are abroad? People who are starting to give us advice need to understand that they need to live in our realities, not in realities where everything is fine and there are no explosions," he said.
Previously, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that elections are prohibited during the war according to the legislation.
