The Russian army is forming a “strike force” in the Kupiansk direction with hundreds of thousands of troops, but they are facing problems with equipment.
This was announced by Head of the Press Service of the Eastern Group of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Ilya Yevlash, on “Radio Svoboda.”
He noted that the invaders are acting according to a standard plan - to form a "strike force" of hundreds of thousands of people, and then simply throw them into the assaults like cannon fodder. According to him, such tactics were used both in Bakhmut and in other areas.
"However, when actions are well-planned, employing various asymmetric tactics, and making effective use of the terrain and relief, then the quantity no longer plays such a defining role as it did before," Yevlash said.
He added that Russian military forces are facing difficulties with their equipment.
"We consistently observe equipment shortages. Sources like Oryx report the destruction of T-55 tanks, so we can conclude that they really have problems with their equipment. And we can evaluate the effectiveness of our artillery and counter-battery units, which destroy the artillery of the invaders every day", he noted.
